What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how nojobnolife (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on nojobnolife.com and our web application (the “Service”), and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies — such as your browser's local storage and pixels — work in comparable ways. We group them by what they do, not just by their technical type.
How we use cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, in these categories:
- Strictly necessary — needed for the Service to work, such as keeping you signed in, keeping the Service secure, and remembering a referral link you arrived through so the right person gets credit. These cannot be switched off through a consent control because the Service would not function without them.
- Analytics and performance — help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We use an EU-hosted product-analytics provider for this. These are non-essential.
We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not run third-party ad networks on the Service.
The categories of cookies and identifiers we use
| Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session — keeps you signed in | Strictly necessary | Session / persistent |
| Referral attribution — remembers the referral link you arrived through | Strictly necessary | Up to a few weeks |
| Product analytics — distinguishes users and sessions to measure usage | Analytics | Up to 1 year |
| UI preferences (local storage) — remembers settings such as which signup form you saw | Strictly necessary | Until cleared |
We also use lightweight cookieless traffic measurement that does not store identifiers on your device. Our error-monitoring service collects diagnostic data when something breaks but does not rely on advertising cookies. Specific cookie names set by our providers can change as they update their software.
How to control cookies
You have several ways to control cookies and similar technologies:
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or warn you before one is set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.
- Opt out of analytics — you can ask us to stop analytics tracking by emailing hello@nojobnolife.com, and you can use your browser's “Do Not Track” or global privacy control signals where supported.
- Device controls — your operating system and mobile settings offer additional privacy controls.
We are rolling out an in-product consent control so you can accept or reject non-essential analytics directly. Until it is live, the browser and email controls above let you opt out, and we keep analytics to the minimum needed to run the beta.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service and our providers change. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
