Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) sets out what you can and cannot do with nojobnolife (the “Service”). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Because the Service helps you contact other people, this Policy matters: you are the sender of your outreach, and you are responsible for following it and the law.
Rules for outreach you send
When you use the Service to email hiring managers, recruiters or anyone else, you must:
- Be honest about who you are. Use accurate sender details and a real reply-to address. Never falsify headers, “from” names, or routing information.
- Keep subject lines truthful. They must reflect the actual content of your message and must not deceive the recipient.
- Send relevant, individual outreach. The Service is built for considered, role-specific messages — not bulk unsolicited mailings. Do not use it to blast generic messages to large purchased or harvested lists.
- Honour opt-outs. If someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop — promptly and permanently. Do not email anyone who has asked not to hear from you.
- Have a lawful basis to contact people. Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, you must have a valid basis (such as legitimate interest in a genuine professional opportunity) and respect recipients' rights. Where anti-spam laws such as the US CAN-SPAM Act apply, you must meet their requirements, including identifying the message and giving a way to opt out.
- Don't misuse contact data. Use contact details the Service surfaces only for legitimate, professional outreach related to your own job search. Do not sell, redistribute or repurpose them.
Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service to:
- Break any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.
- Send spam, chain messages, phishing, scams or other deceptive or fraudulent content.
- Harass, threaten, defame, impersonate or discriminate against anyone.
- Upload or transmit malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload or compromise the Service or its infrastructure.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the Service, or access it without authorisation, without our prior written permission.
- Scrape, crawl or harvest the Service, or use bots or automated means beyond the features we provide.
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, security measures or access controls.
- Misrepresent yourself, your experience or your qualifications in a way that is unlawful or deceptive.
- Resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties, or use it to build a competing product.
- Collect or process special-category data (such as health, religion or political opinions) about recipients through the Service.
Respecting the people you contact
People you reach out to have rights too. The Service applies sending limits and sensible pacing to protect deliverability and to avoid overwhelming recipients, and we may decline to send, or slow down, outreach that looks abusive. Recipients can ask us to delete the contact data we hold about them at any time by emailing hello@nojobnolife.com, and we will honour that request regardless of any individual user's wishes.
Enforcement
If we believe you have breached this Policy, we may warn you, throttle or suspend your outreach, suspend or terminate your account, remove content, and report unlawful activity to the authorities — with or without notice, depending on the seriousness. We may also take these steps where we reasonably believe action is needed to protect the Service, other users, recipients or third parties.
Reporting abuse
If you have received outreach you believe breaches this Policy, or you want a message to stop, email hello@nojobnolife.com and we will look into it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy as the Service evolves or the law changes. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
